We’re running because we’re students who love App State. We understand the SGA’s role as an advocacy organization and our platform is made up of what we believe are achievable goals.
We believe that App State can be a more accessible campus. We’ll advocate for safe crosswalks, repairs to broken sidewalks and pathways, and improved lighting in areas where it’s lacking.
We believe that we live in a special place and we can do more to appreciate our environment. We’ll advocate for more areas on campus to spend time outdoors such as natural study spaces and more hammock posts.
We believe that it’s important to protect our environment. We’ll advocate for an increase in App State’s reliance on renewable energy, more recycling and trash cans on West Campus, and more sustainable practices at high-traffic events.
We believe that barriers to student success should be removed. We’ll advocate for access to syllabi before course registration, access to grades in a timely manner, and soundproof Zoom and meeting spaces.
We believe that the SGA should be a space for all student voices to be heard. We’ll reach out to organizations that the SGA has rarely interacted with to lift the voices of all students.
We know that no two students have the same experience at App State and so this is not an exhaustive list of everything that can be done. We will listen to you and always advocate for the priorities of the student body.
